Research Interests
Currently our interest is
mainly focused on wide bandgap semiconductors, such as III-nitrides and ZnO.
These materials will find application as substrates (bulk crystals) or functional
components (thin films and nanostructures) in the fabrication of
shortwave-length solid-state emitters and detectors for data
storage, flame detection, combustion control, reaction monitoring,
and bio-agent and chemo-agent detection and the development of
high-power, high-frequency electronics for the next generation of
wireless communications and radar applications.
