All graduate students in Materials Science & Engineering are members of the Materials Science Club, which is affiliated with the Graduate Student Organization (GSO). The club can obtain funding for its activities from GSO, and can organize materials-related lectures, trips, parties, career workshops, etc., for its members.

The Materials Science Club is the local student chapter of the American Society for Materials, International (ASM), the Mining, Minerals and Materials Society (TMS) and the American Ceramic Society (ACerS).

The Club elects graduate student representatives to the Graduate Program Committee and to the GSO senate. We encourage you to participate actively in all of its activities.
