January 14, Tuesday 
Registration and payment (or proper deferral) of fees continues for 
students not previously registered. 

January 15, Wednesday 
Classes begin. 
Late registration begins with $30 late fee assessed. 

January 17, Friday 
Senior Citizen Auditor Program registration. (Telephone 632-9159 for 
information.) 

January 20, Monday 
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. (Classes are not in session.) 

January 22, Wednesday 
Last day to drop a course without tuition liability. 

January 29, Wednesday 
End of late registration period for undergraduates and SPD/GSP graduate 
students. 
Last day for undergraduates and SPD/GSP students to add a course. 
Last day to drop a course without a W (withdrawal) being recorded. 
Last day for students to file applications for May and August graduation 
and be included in the May Commencement Program. (August
applicants are invited to participate in the May ceremonies.) 
Last day for departments to advance doctoral students to candidacy. 

February 5, Wednesday 
End of late registration period for graduate students (other than 
SPD/GSP). 

February 12, Wednesday 
Last day for graduate students (other than SPD/GSP students) to withdraw 
from a course without withdrawing from the University. 

March 12, Wednesday 
Mid-semester advisory grades mailed to U1 and U2 students in 100-level 
and 200-level courses. 

March 14, Friday 
Last day for removal of Incomplete grades from the fall semester. 
Last day for undergraduates to withdraw from the University and still be 
eligible to return next semester. 

March 21, Friday 
Last day for SPD/GSP students to withdraw from one or all courses. 
Last day for undergraduates to withdraw from a course or change a course 
to or from pass/ no credit. 

March 24 - 29, Monday - Saturday 
Spring vacation. 

March 31, Monday 
Classes resume. 
Prime Time (intensive academic advising for undergraduates) begins and 
continues through April 4. 

April 14, Monday 
Advanced Registration begins for fall semester and summer session. 
(Schedules and instructions will be announced prior to registration.) 



April 21 - 23, Monday - Wednesday 
Spring recess (Passover 4/22 - 4/23). 

April 24, Thursday 
Classes follow Monday schedule.

May 2, Friday 
Reading day. Classes are not in session.

May 6, Tuesday 
Last day of classes. 
Last day to withdraw from the University. (SPD/GSP students must have 
SPD approval; see March 21 above.) 

May 7, Wednesday 
Final examinations begin. 

May 14, Wednesday 
Final examinations end. 
Spring semester ends. 
Last day for departments to submit completion statements for May 
master's and doctoral degree candidates. 

May 16, Friday 
Commencement.
