Aug. 21-25	Final registration and payment (or proper deferral) of
Mon.-Fri.	fees for students not previously registered.

Aug. 28, Mon.	Classes begin; late registration begins with $30 late
		fee assessed.

Aug. 30, Wed.	Senior Citizen Auditor Program registration (telephone
		632-7059 for information).

Sept. 1, Fri.	Last day for students to drop a course without tuition
		liability.

Sept. 4, Mon.	Labor Day (classes not in session)

Sept. 11, Mon.	End of late registration period.
		Last day for undergraduate and CED/GSP students to 
		add a course.
		Last day for students to drop a course without a
		W (Withdrawal) being recorded.
		Last day for undergraduate students to change
		status to or from full-time/part-time.

Sept. 22, Fri.	Last day to file for December graduation clearance.
		Undergraduate and graduate (except CED) students
		file applications at Office of Records/Registrar;
		CED students file at CED Office.
		Last day for May graduation candidates (undergraduates)
		to file degree application at Office of Records and 
		recieve notification before Advance Registration for
		spring semester.

Sept. 25-26	Rosh Hashanah recess.

Sept. 27, Wed.	Last day for graduate students (except CED/GSP) to add
		or drop a course.

Oct. 4, Wed.	Yom Kippur.  Class not in session.  No classes after
		4:30 P.M. Tues., Oct. 3.
		Evening class makeup date Dec. 12.

Oct. 9, Mon.	Columbus Day (classes in session).

Oct. 16, Mon.	Mid-semester advisory grades mailed to U1-U2 students
		in 100-and 200-level courses.

Oct. 27, Fri.	Last day for undergraduates to withdraw from course
		or change courses to or from Pass/No Credit.
		Last day for CED/GSP students to withdraw from one or
		all courses.

Oct. 31, Tues.	Last day for undergraduates to withdraw from the
		University and still be eligible to return next 
		semester.

Nov. 1, Wed.	Last day for removal of Incomplete grades from spring
		semester and Summer Session.

Nov. 7, Tues.	Election Day (classes in session).

Nov. 8-16	Prime Time for Students (Intensive academic advising
Wed.-Thurs.	period.  Formal student evaluation of instructors and
		courses).

Nov. 11, Sat.	Veterans Day (Saturday classes in session).

Nov. 13, Mon.	Advance Registration for spring semester (schedules
		for undergraduate and graduate students announced
		prior to registration).

Nov. 22, Wed.	Thanksgiving recess begins at close of classes.

Nov. 27, Mon.	Classes resume.

Dec. 11, Mon.	Last day of daytime classes; last day to withdraw
		from the University (CED/GSP students must have CED
		approval).
		Last day for graduate students to submit theses and
		dissertations to Graduate School for December 
		graduation.

Dec. 12, Tues.	Reading day; no classes until 4:30 P.M.

Dec. 13, Wed. 	Final examinations begin.

Dec. 19, Tues.	Final examinations end; fall semester ends.
		Last day for departments to submit Completion 
		Statements for December master's and doctoral
		degree candidates.

Feb. 2, Fri.	End of late registration period.
		Last day for undergraduate and CED/GSP students to add
		a course.
		Last day for all students to drop a course without a
		W (Withdrawal) grade being recorded.
		Last day for undergraduates to change status to or
		from full-time/part-time.

Feb. 9, Fri.	Last day for students to file applications for May and
		August graduation and be included in the May 
		Commencement Program booklet (August applicants are
		invited to participate in the May ceremonies).  The
		names of those who file later will not appear in the 
		printed program.  Undergraduates file at the Office of
		Records/Registrar, graduate students at the Graduate
		School, CED students at the School of Continuing
		Education, Health Sciences students at the HSC Office
		of Student Services.

Feb. 16, Fri.	Last day for graduate students (except CED/GSP) to add
		or drop a course.

Feb. 19, Mon.	Presidents' Day (classes in session).

Mar. 13, Wed.	Mid-semester advisory grades mailed to students in 100-
		and 200-level courses.

Mar. 15, Fri.	Last day for removal of Incomplete grades from the fall
		semester.
		Last day for undergraduates to withdraw from the 
		University and still be eligible to return next
		semester.
