Registration Adjustment ChangesALL STUDENTS: University Policy on Tuition Adjustment Charges (Tuition Liability)
After the start of classes (Jan. 22), students who drop or withdraw from individual courses or withdraw from the University will incur liability for a portion of the tuition and fees charges. The University will retain the following percentage of the tuition and fees:

SPD: Feb 11 – Last day to add classes.
Dropping classes and University Withdrawal
(Note Tuition Liability dates above)
ALL STUDENTS:
Jan 28 – Last day to drop without tuition liability (ALL STUDENTS)
Feb 4 – Last day to drop without a "W" (withdraw) recorded on student record. Tuition liability remains applicable (30% tuition liability applies Jan 29 – Feb. 4)
UNDERGRADUATE:
Mar 28 – Last day to withdraw from a course ("W" will be recorded). Full-time students must remain full-time with at least 12 credits
May 9 – Last day to withdraw from the University
GRADUATE (non-SPD students):
Feb 11 – Last day to withdraw from a course ("W" will be recorded).
May 9 – Last day to withdraw from the University
SPD: Mar 28 – Last day to drop one or all courses ("W" will be recorded).
Pass / No CreditUNDERGRADUATE: Mar 28 – Last day to change to or from the Pass/No Credit (P/NC) option. All changes must be processed by the close of business.

Section Changes

ALL STUDENTS: Mar 28 – Last day for all students to process a SECTION CHANGE. After this date, students must submit an official petition for changes.
GRADUATE (non-SPD students): Feb 5 – Feb 11: Students substituting or SWAPPING (this is different from a section change) a course for another of equal credits during this week must use the "Swap This Class" option on the web SOLAR System in order to avoid registration adjustment charges (tuition liability). Students may also contact the Registrar's Office to provide assistance with course swaps. Students dropping a course during this period will have a "W" recorded on their academic record and are subject to tuition liability.

G5 AdvancementGRADUATE: Feb 4 – Last day for departments to advance doctoral students to candidacy (G5 Status)

Feb 5 – Last day for Spring (May) or Summer (August) degree candidates to apply for graduation in order to be included in the May commencement ceremony publication. Candidates should file in the appropriate office:
West Campus Undergraduate students apply at the Office of the Registrar
West Campus Graduate students apply at the Graduate School
SPD students apply at the SPD Office
HSC students apply at the HSC Student Service Office.
May 20 – Last day for departments to submit completion statements for May Masters and Doctoral Candidates
May 22 – Doctoral Graduation & Hooding Ceremony; Baccalaureate Honors Convocation.
May 23 – University Graduation Ceremony; Masters; Bachelors and Advanced Certificates awarded
