Jan. 8 - 22, Tues - Tues Final two weeks of advance registration for the Spring
2002 semester. Undergraduate students may now register for up to 19 credits by
telephone and in person based on class status.
Jan. 23, Wed Classes Begin. (Includes SUNY Learning Net courses) Late
registration begins with a $30 late fee assessed.
Graduate, G1-G5 students (Non SPD/GSP) - Last day for removal of Incomplete
grades from the Fall 2001 semester. Last day for departments to advance doctoral
students to candidacy.
Jan. 29, Tues All Students - Last day to drop a course without any tuition
liability.
Undergraduates must have "Permission of Instructor" to add a course in the 2nd
week of classes (Wed., Jan 30 -- Tues., Feb. 5). These transactions must be done
in-person at the Registrar's Office or through the academic department.
Feb. 5, Tues Undergraduates and SPD/GSP students - End of late registration period.
Undergraduates and SPD/GSP students - Last day to add a course.
Undergraduate students - Last day to change status to or from full-time/part-time.
All Students - Last day to drop a course without a "W" (withdrawal) being
recorded. Tuition and fee liability remains applicable. Last day of 30% tuition
liability.
Feb. 6, Wed Graduation - Last day for May - August degree candidates to file for
graduation to be included in the May commencement ceremony to be held Friday,
May 18. Candidates should file as follows: West Campus undergraduates at the
Registrar's service window in the Administration Building, Graduate Students at the
Graduate School, and SPD students at the SPD Office.
Feb 12, Tues Graduate Students (G1-G5, Non SPD/GSP) - Last day to add courses.
Feb. 26, Tues Electronic Extension Program classes begin
Mar. 15, Fri Undergraduates and SPD/GSP students only - Last day for removal
of Incomplete grades from the fall 2001 semester.
Mar. 25 - 30 Spring Recess (Monday through Saturday)
Apr. 1, Mon Classes Resume
Apr. 5, Fri All Students - Last day to process section changes for the Spring 2002
semester. Instructor signature required.
Undergraduate students - Last day to withdraw from a course or change courses to
or from Pass/No Credit. Full-time students must maintain Full-time status
(Remain registered for a minimum of 12 credits).
Apr. 15 Mon "Tentative" - Telephone registration activities will no longer be
available for Spring 2002 transactions.
Apr. 22 - 26, Mon - Fri "Tentative" Prime Time for Undergraduate students
(Intensive academic advising period).
Apr. 22, Mon "Tentative Dates" Only G1 - G5's begin to register for fall &
summer sessions.
Apr. 29, Mon "Tentative Dates" (G0 - Non-matriculated students) and current
undergraduate students may begin to register (Check published Registration
Schedule)
May 7, Tues Last day of classes for Monday - Friday course offerings. Last day to
withdraw from the University.
May 8, Wed Reading Day - No Instructional Activities should be held. Study Day Only.
May 9, Thurs Final Examinations begin
May 11, Sat Saturday courses will hold finals during regular class time.
May 15, Wed Final Examinations end. Spring semester ends. Last day for
departments to submit completion statements for May Master's and doctoral
degree candidates.
May 16, Thurs Doctoral Graduation & Hooding Ceremony, Baccalaureate Honors
Convocation.
May 17, Fri University Graduation Ceremony; Masters, Bachelors & Advanced
Certificates awarded.
May 20 - 24 "Tentative" - Registration System Closed for maintenance.
May 27, Mon "Tentative" - Open Registration Begins
