Aug. 24-28 Mon-Fri - Registration and payment (or proper deferral) of
fees continues through August 29 for
students not previous registered.
Aug. 27, Thur. - Campus Residences new student check-in
Aug. 30, Sun. - Campus Residences continuing student check-in
Aug. 31, Mon. - Classes begin. Late registration begins with a $30 late
fee assessed for students who have not yet registered.
Sept. 2, Wed. - Senior Citizen Auditor Program registration
(telephone 631-632-9493 for information).
Sept. 4, Tues. - Last day for students to drop a course without
incurring a tuition liability. Undergraduates
must have 'Permission of Instructor' to add a
course in the second week of classes
(Saturday September. 5 through Monday, September 14).
- Undergraduates may continue to drop a course through
Monday, September. 14.
Sep. 7, Mon. - LABOR DAY HOLIDAY (Classes will not be in session)
Sept. 14, Mon. - End of late registration fro undergraduate and SPD/GSP
students. Last day for undergraduates and SPD/GSP
students to add a course. Last day for all undergraduate
and graduate students to drop a course without a
W (withdrawal) being recorded. Last day for undergraduate
students to change status to or from full-time/part-time.
Last day for departments to advanced doctoral students to
candidacy.
Sept. 21-22, Mon. & Tues. - Rosh Hashanah (Classes will not be in session)
Sept. 23, Wed. - CORRECTION:
End of late registration period for non-SPD/GSP graduate
students (G1 - G5's).
Sept. 29, Tues. - Classes that start after 5:00PM will not be
held in observance of Yom Kippur
Sept. 30, Wed. - Yom Kippur (Classes will not be in session)
Oct. 1, Thurs.- Last day for graduate students (Except SPD/GSP) G1-G5's
to add or drop a course.
Oct. 2, Fri. - Last day for students to file applications for December
and January graduation. Graduate students should file at
the Graduate School, SPD students at the School of
Professional Development and Health Sciences students
at the HSC Offices of Student Services.
Oct. 12, Mon. - Columbus Day (Classes are in session)
Oct. 30, Fri. - Last day for undergraduates to withdraw from
the University and still be eligible to return
next Summer.
Last day for SPD/GSP students to withdraw from
one or all courses. Last day for removal of Incomplete
grades from Spring and Summer Session.
Nov. 3, Tues. - Election Day (Classes are in session)
Nov. 6, Fri. - Mid-semester advisory grades mailed to students in
100-level, 200-level and 300-level courses.
Nov. 11, Wed. - Veterans Day (Classes are in session)
Nov. 18-25 - Prime Time for students (Intensive academic advising
period. Formal student evaluation of instructors and
Wed-Wed courses.)
Nov. 23, Mon. - Telephone Registration begins for Spring semester
(Schedules will be announced prior to registration.)
G1-G5's begin registering Monday, November 23.
Nov. 25, Wed. - Undergraduates begin registering Wednesday, November 25.
Nov. 26-27 Th-Sat. - Thanksgiving Recess. Evening classes held on Wednesday.
No classes held on Saturday, November 28.
Nov. 30, Mon. - CLASSES RESUME.
Dec. 2, Wed. - Last day for undergraduates to withdraw from a course
or change courses to or from Pass/No Credit.
Dec. 12, Sat. - Last day of classes for courses that meet on
Saturdays. Finals held Saturday, Dec. 19th during
regular class time.
Dec. 14, Mon. - Last day of classes. Last day to withdraw from the
University, (SPD/GSP students must have SPD approval;

Last day for graduate students to submit theses and
dissertations to the Graduate School for December
graduation.
Dec. 15, Tues. - Reading Day
Dec. 16, Wed. - Final examinations begin.
Dec. 22, Tues. - Final examinations end; fall semester ends.
Last day for departments to submit Completion
Statements for December master's and doctoral
degree candidates.
